Werewolf Wild is a 2011 Aristocrat slot: 5×3, 25 fixed lines, a full-moon free-spins round in which the werewolf turns the people next to it into Wilds, and three base-game extras — a Mystery Coin, a Claw Swipe and a card gamble. RTP is 95.3%. Before you look for a place to play it, read the availability section: the online version was built in Flash, and current real-money availability is unclear. A 2024 Werewolf Wild series for Australian venues is a different, land-based game.

Base-game features
- Werewolf Wild — the top symbol; five on a line pay 1,000 coins.
- Mystery Coin — when a coin lands on reel 1 and a werewolf is on screen, a random prize of 2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 10×, 20× or 40× the total bet is paid.
- Claw Swipe — a random feature that slashes across the reels and turns symbols Wild. Sources disagree on how many.

| Full-moon Scatters | Free spins |
|---|---|
| 3 | 7 |
| 4 | 14 |

During the round, the werewolf infects its neighbours: man, woman and policeman symbols next to it turn into Wilds. One werewolf can therefore create a cluster of Wilds on 25 lines. Five Scatters also pay 50× the total bet. How this round compares with free spins in newer games is in our free spins guide, and Wilds created by other symbols are covered in our Wild symbols guide.
The gamble
After a win you can guess the colour of a card to double it, or the suit to quadruple it, up to five times. A colour guess is a 50/50 for 2×, a suit guess a 1-in-4 for 4×; both are fair only if the card is truly random, and both can lose the whole win. Our gamble features guide compares this classic double-up with modern gamble features.
Availability: can you still play it?
- The online version was released in Flash. One database still lists it at casinos in Canada, Australia, Ireland and Norway; another reports that the game is no longer available.
- An HTML5 demo is mentioned by one review site, which also describes the game as Flash — so even that is unclear.
- The 2024 Werewolf Wild games released by Aristocrat in New South Wales are a different, land-based series and are not the online slot described here.
If a casino offers “Werewolf Wild” today, open the help screen and compare it with the figures above before playing. A demo, where one exists, will show the rules but not the RTP version — see what a demo can and cannot show.
We could not confirm the bet range, volatility or maximum win from consistent sources, so we do not publish them. Treat any figure you see for them with caution.

Pros and cons
Who should play it, and who should skip it
Good fit if you:
- like classic 25-line slots with a strong theme;
- enjoy free spins where Wilds spread from one symbol;
- find the game at a licensed casino and can check its help screen.
Probably not for you if you:
- want current, fully published figures;
- use the gamble feature often — it can wipe out a win;
- are looking for the 2024 land-based game — this is the 2011 online slot.
