Nolimit City is a slot studio founded in Stockholm in 2013 by Jonas Tegman and Emil Svärd, owned by Evolution since August 2022. It is known for extreme volatility, dark and provocative themes, and trademarked mechanics such as xWays®, xNudge® and xBomb®. Its game pages also list figures many studios leave out, including the odds of hitting the maximum win. We have reviewed both Gator Hunters games; this page compares them and explains how to read a Nolimit City game sheet.

Nolimit City slots we have reviewed
| Slot | Released | RTP | Hit frequency | Free spins about 1 in | Max win | Max win odds |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gator Hunters 2 | Oct 2026 | 96.00% | 18.28% | 205 | 30,000× | 1 in 17 million |
| Gator Hunters | Aug 2025 | 96.11% (95.31%, 94.05%, 92.09%) | 17.23% | 236 | 25,000× | 1 in 16 million |
Both are rated extreme by the studio and use the same 6×5 grid where 8 or more matching symbols anywhere pay; the sequel adds the Fire Zone and raises the ceiling by 5,000×.
How to read a Nolimit City game sheet
Each game page lists a set of figures most studios keep to the help screen or do not publish at all:
- RTP — the default version. Lower versions can exist; on Gator Hunters the spread is 4.02 percentage points (how to check which one you get).
- Volatility — on a scale that goes up to Extreme.
- Hit Frequency — the share of spins that win anything.
- Free Spins 1 in X — the average bonus frequency.
- Max Win Probability — how rarely the top win is reached.
The last figure is the most useful. A 25,000× cap at 1 in 16 million means that a player making 1,000 spins a day would need, on average, more than 40 years to reach it once. What such odds mean in practice is explained in our max win guide.
Hit frequency varies a lot even among extreme games. Nolimit City’s Mental pays on 34.19% of spins — twice as often as Gator Hunters — and still reaches 66,666×, at odds of 1 in 18 million. “Extreme” describes how the return is concentrated, not how often you see a win; more on that in our volatility guide.
What Nolimit City slots have in common
- xMechanics. The studio names its mechanics and registers them as trademarks — xWays, xNudge, xSplit, xBomb and others, more than 19 in total — and licenses some of them to other studios.
- Features that start on dead spins. In the Gator Hunters games, Eaters and Revolvers step in only when a cascade ends without a win; how that changes the rhythm of a spin is shown in our cascades guide.
- Bonus buys and boosters. Most games sell several bonus versions; the studio itself notes that buys may be removed in some regulated markets. Gator Hunters’ buys go up to 500×, its booster spins up to 1,200× (what buys cost on average).
- Large multipliers. Single bullets in Gator Hunters 2 are worth up to x3,000; the types are compared in our multipliers guide.
