Hacksaw Gaming Slots: DuelReels, FeatureSpins and Volatility Out of Five

Hacksaw Gaming started in 2018 as a scratchcard studio; today its site lists more than 350 games and more than 40 regulated markets. Since June 2025 its parent company has been listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. Its slots are known for named mechanics such as DuelReels™, optional FeatureSpins and game pages that rate volatility on a scale of 1 to 5. We have reviewed three of its games; this page compares them and explains how to read a Hacksaw game sheet.

Bullets and Bounty Aug 2025 96.27% (94.14%, 92.18%) Low-medium DuelReels, three bonus rounds 20,000×
Harvest Wilds Feb 2022 96.35% High 7×7 clusters, multiplying sunflower Wilds 10,000×
Born Wild 2021; re-released 2022 93.80% (original) High (original) / low (2022) Lion’s Roar respins, sticky Wilds 2,500× (2022 version)

Three very different games: a line slot with duels, a cluster slot without free spins and a hold-and-respin slot that exists in two versions.

How to read a Hacksaw game page

  • Volatility as “X / 5”. Le Bandit shows 3 / 5, Wanted Dead or a Wild 4 / 5 and Chaos Crew 5 / 5. It is the studio’s own scale, so it compares Hacksaw games with each other, not with other studios — the general picture is in our volatility guide.
  • Several RTP versions. Game pages list them openly. Wanted Dead or a Wild, for example, shows 96.38%, 94.55%, 92.33% and 88.42% — a spread of almost 8 percentage points between the versions a casino can choose.
  • Max win as a multiple of the bet — 12,500× on Wanted Dead or a Wild, 10,000× on Chaos Crew and Le Bandit.

An 88% version costs three times as much on average as a 96% one: €12 against €4 per €100 staked. With Hacksaw games in particular, check the RTP in the help screen before you play.

Hacksaw’s mechanics and options

  • DuelReels™ — a special symbol turns into a full Wild reel and fights a duel for its multiplier; used in Wanted Dead or a Wild, Phoenix DuelReels and Bullets and Bounty.
  • FeatureSpins — more expensive spins with better odds or guaranteed features. On Le Bandit, BonusHunt FeatureSpins cost 3× the stake for 5× better odds of triggering a bonus; on Harvest Wilds, FeatureSpins at 5×, 25× or 100× guarantee seeds.
  • Bonus buys — offered in most games where local rules allow; not in the UK. What they cost on average is shown in our bonus buy guide.
