BGaming Slots Reviewed: The Merge Up Series and Miss Cherry Fruits

BGaming is a slot studio that started as a separate brand in 2018, when its parent group SOFTSWISS split game development into its own company. Today it is headquartered in Malta, holds a Malta Gaming Authority supplier licence and lists more than 250 games. We have reviewed five of them: the three Merge Up cluster slots and both versions of Miss Cherry Fruits. This page compares them and explains the figures BGaming publishes on every game sheet.

How to read a BGaming game sheet

BGaming’s game pages list two numbers most studios do not publish, but without explaining them. They are averages expressed as “one in N spins”:

Slot Hit rate Means FS rate Means
Merge Up 3.04 A win every 3.04 spins (32.89%) 276 Free spins about once in 276 spins
Merge Up 2 3.40 29.41% of spins win 409 About once in 409 spins
Miss Cherry Fruits 5.87 17.04% of spins win — No free spins
Jackpot Party 2.71 36.90% of spins win 98 A bonus about once in 98 spins

What BGaming slots have in common

  • Cash caps. Most of these games stop at a fixed amount: €250,000 on the Merge Up games and the original Miss Cherry Fruits, €233,820 on Jackpot Party. On the Merge Up games the cap equals the top multiplier at the maximum bet, so it never cuts a win short.
  • Chance x2. A surcharge on every spin that raises the chance of the bonus, switched off while a bonus buy is active. Jackpot Party has a 2.5× version.
  • High RTP on newer games. The three Merge Up titles sit at 97% or more; the 2022 Jackpot Party is the outlier at 94.65%.
  • Sequels on one engine. Merge Up 2 and Sugar Merge Up share free-spin rules, buy prices (100×, 250×, 500×) and bet limits; Sugar Merge Up adds Booster modes.

BGaming is also known for provably fair games, where players can check with cryptography that a result was not altered after the bet.

Which BGaming slot to choose

  • Highest RTP: Merge Up 2 at 98%, if your casino runs the default version.
  • Bonus more often: Merge Up (1 in 276) rather than its sequels (1 in 409).
  • Calm sessions: Miss Cherry Fruits Jackpot Party, which wins on more than one spin in three.
  • Most control over pace: Sugar Merge Up, with six buy and booster options.
