Super Fruits Wild Review: Expanding Wilds and Inspired’s Hot Spins Gamble

Super Fruits Wild is a classic fruit slot from Inspired Gaming, released in 2018: five reels, three rows, 10 fixed lines and an expanding Wild on the middle reels. There are no free spins and no Scatter. Its one twist is Hot Spins, Inspired’s gamble feature that turns a win of 4× the stake or more into spins on four reel sets at once. The RTP is 94.98%, among the lowest of the slots we review.

Symbols and pays

The reels carry the classic fruit-machine set. Payouts for five of a kind on a line, as a multiple of the total stake:

Symbol 5 of a kind
Crown 250×
Red 7 40×
Blue 7 30×
Bell 25×
Watermelon, grapes 20×
Plum, orange, lemon, cherry 10×

The expanding Wild

The Wild is the game logo and can land only on reels 2, 3 and 4. When it appears, it expands over its whole reel and substitutes for every paying symbol. There is no multiplier on it and no respin — the expansion is the whole feature, so a Wild reel in the middle helps complete lines that start on reel 1. How this compares with Wilds that stick, multiply or trigger respins is shown in our guide to Wild symbols.

Hot Spins: Inspired’s gamble on four reel sets

After any win of 4× the stake or more, the game offers a choice:

  1. Collect the win and carry on, or
  2. Gamble it for Hot Spins: the win is turned into spins played on four reel sets at the same time. Each Hot Spin costs at least 4× your original stake, paid from the win and spread evenly across the four sets.

That is why the trigger is a 4× win: it pays for at least one Hot Spin. A Wild that lands on one set is copied onto the others, which is where the larger Hot Spins wins come from.

Hot Spins replace the win you already have. If the spins pay back less than that win, the difference is lost — treat it as a gamble, not a bonus round.

Fortune Spins

Where the casino and local rules allow it, a Fortune Spins button lets you buy Hot Spins directly, without first landing a 4× win. The price comes in five levels: 8, 16, 24, 32 or 40.

The Hot Spins family

Hot Spins is Inspired’s house mechanic. It started in Super Hot Fruits (2015) and returns in Mighty Hot Wilds (2019), a close relative of this game: also 5×3 with 10 lines and a Wild on reels 2–4, with an RTP of 96.40% in casino databases (Inspired’s own page lists 94.66%), medium-high volatility and a published top win of 2,500×. Super Fruits Wild adds the expanding Wild and the Fortune Spins buy.

  • enjoy deciding after a win whether to take it or risk it;
  • play on a phone — the game runs on iOS and Android browsers.

Probably not for you if you:

  • care about RTP: 94.98% is among the lowest of the slots we review (what such a gap costs);
  • want free spins or a bonus round you trigger rather than buy or gamble into;
  • prefer games with a published maximum win.
