Gator Hunters is a Nolimit City slot released on 19 August 2025. It runs on a 6×5 grid where 8 or more matching symbols anywhere pay, and spins that would end empty are picked up by Eaters and Revolvers that build a multiplier. Default RTP is 96.11%, Nolimit City rates the volatility as extreme, and the top payout is 25,000× the bet — odds the studio puts at 1 in 16 million.
Last updated: 22 October 2026. The sequel, Gator Hunters 2, came out on 6 October 2026; the differences are covered near the end of this review.

What happens on a spin
A spin goes through up to three stages, and each one only starts if the previous one produced nothing:
- Wins and cascades. Groups of 8+ matching symbols pay, disappear and are replaced from above. The cascade continues while new wins form (scatter pays compared with lines and clusters; how cascade chains work).
- Eaters. If a spin has no win, an Eater may appear. It removes random symbols and turns into a Wild. A Super Eater does the same but becomes a Wild with x2, x3 or x10; the multipliers of several Wilds in one win are added together (how added and multiplied Wilds differ).
- Revolvers. If there is still no win and no Eater, up to 6 Revolvers can appear. Their chambers hold bullets or nothing; every bullet that hits adds its value to the total multiplier.
The three Revolver types
- Normal Revolver — spins once (it spins again only if a Super Fire Revolver triggers it).
- Super Revolver — spins again after every bullet hit.
- Super Fire Revolver — a hit makes every Revolver that still has bullets spin again.

| Bullet colour | Possible values |
|---|---|
| Purple | x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x7, x8 |
| Blue | x10, x15, x20 |
| Orange | x30, x50, x75 |
| Red | x100, x150, x200, x300, x500 |
| White | x1,000, x2,000 |
Four free-spin modes
Free spins are triggered by the Wanted Bonus symbol. The number of symbols decides the mode:
| Bonus symbols | Mode | Spins | Upgrades |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | Swamp Spins | 10 | 1 |
| 4 | Frenzy Spins | 12 | 2 |
| 5 | Gator Spins | 15 | 3 |
| 6 | Apex Predator Spins | 18 | All 4, with Super Fire Revolvers instead of Super Revolvers |
The four upgrades are Extra Bullet 2×, Extra Bullet 10×, Super Eater and Super Revolvers. During the round, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 Bonus symbols add 3, 5, 7, 10 or 15 spins.
The total multiplier carries over from spin to spin in the bonus, but it is applied only on spins where a Revolver hits a bullet.
Boosters, bonus buys and the xTra Spin

Boosters change a single spin:
- Bonus Booster, 2.5× bet — guarantees a Bonus symbol on reel 2;
- Revolver Roll, 90× — guarantees an active Super Revolver;
- Super Fire Spins, 400× — guarantees a Super Fire Revolver loaded with 5 bullets of different colours;
- Massacre Spins, 1,200× — every Revolver becomes a Super Fire Revolver with x1,000 or x2,000 bullets.
Bonus buys (not offered in the UK): Swamp Spins 70×, Frenzy Spins 200×, Gator Spins 500×, and a Lucky Draw for 250× that gives Swamp (50%), Frenzy (25%), Gator (20%) or Apex Predator Spins (5%). Apex Predator Spins cannot be bought directly. How buys and boosters compare across games is in our guide to bonus buys.
xTra Spin. After a spin, the game may offer to repeat it while keeping the total multiplier and any Revolvers that still hold bullets. The price depends on what is kept, and the offer only appears when it costs no more than the previous spin won. Our respins guide compares it with free respins in other games.

Gator Hunters 2: what changed
Nolimit City released Gator Hunters 2 on 6 October 2026. It keeps the 6×5 grid, the cascades, Eaters and Revolvers, but changes most of the numbers around them:
| Gator Hunters | Gator Hunters 2 | |
|---|---|---|
| RTP | 96.11% (+3 lower versions) | 96.00% |
| Max win | 25,000× (1 in 16 million) | 30,000× (1 in 17 million) |
| Hit frequency | 17.23% | 18.28% |
| Free spins frequency | 1 in 236 | 1 in 205 |
| Top bullet | x2,000 (white) | x3,000 (golden) |
| Free-spin modes | 4 (Swamp, Frenzy, Gator, Apex Predator) | 2 (Gatornado: 7 spins; Fire Gatornado: 9 spins) |
| New mechanics | — | Fire Zone, Side Hustle side bets, Bullet Juicer buy (390×) |
The main addition is the Fire Zone: on every spin a random area of the grid (from 2×2 up to 5×6) upgrades whatever lands inside it — Wilds get x2, x3 or x10, Eaters become Super Eaters, Bonus symbols become Super Bonus symbols and Revolver bullets go up. The Boosters were reworked as well (3×, 8×, 50× and 1,400×). Everything else is in our full Gator Hunters 2 review.
Pros and cons
Who should play it, and who should skip it
Good fit if you:
- enjoy games where a dead spin can still turn into a win;
- have a budget that can survive long gaps between bonuses;
- like to learn a system: Eaters, three Revolver types, four upgrades.
Probably not for you if you:
- want steady small wins — Miss Cherry Fruits is a much calmer game;
- play at a casino that runs the 92.09% version;
- prefer a slot you can understand in one spin.
